I am not the type of girl to set strict time-limited goals (I mean, I’ve done a list of 30 things I want to do before I turn 30 but that’s pretty much it). I decided to set myself a few goals for 2020 though because there are some things that I really want to achieve.
Save For a House
I know, I would never have thought I would say those words but here I am!
I’m expecting a bit of money from my Aunty who was kind enough to leave me and my 2 cousins a chunk of money to get our lives started but I have no idea how much. I’ve opened a Help To Buy ISA where I can save £200 per month and the Government will give me a percentage when I buy a house.
The annoying thing is that I can only save £200 per month. I’m terrible at keeping money in my normal savings so I’d rather be able to put more in the ISA.
This is the biggest of my goals for 2020 because it’s the one that’s going to give my life a kick in the right direction.
Hit 1000 Monthly Views
I know that it’s not all about the numbers but this is something that I was incredibly proud of with my old blog. I put in the work and it paid off with the number of people who were coming to read my stuff.
It also gives me a bit of confidence when I’m pitching myself to brands. I hit 1000 views when I was blogging at Tralisty, but it took a REALLY long time. I hope that I’ve learned from that blog so I can’t wait to see how long it takes for me to hit this goal.
See West Mids Creatives Grow
In case you haven’t seen, I started a little community called West Midlands Creatives with Leah and I’d love to see it grow.
We created it because I wanted to showcase bloggers who don’t fit in the stereotypical ‘blogger box’ and who aren’t afraid to live out loud. It’s difficult to be yourself in a microcosm that tells you that you should be leggy and blonde and thin to be ‘successful’.
Focus on my YouTube Channel
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 2630937 times. I want to focus on my YouTube channel (I have no idea where this time is coming from though…).
I have so many ideas that I want to bring to life and that can only be done if I put in the time to focus on my channel. I’ve already decided to hire a video editor because this is the bit that I really hate. It never turns out the way I want it to and I’ve found a female editor (who also lives in Birmingham!!) who does a package. Fingers crossed she gets exactly what I’m after and it’s the start of something beautiful.
What are your goals for 2020?
